My name is Damon Day. I am a podcast influencer. I am an End Stage Kidney patient, a 5-year dialysis warrior. I am currently on Hemodialysis, and I go to a Davita dialysis clinic three times a week. I currently use a catheter positioned on my right chest, but I have had a fistula before that was removed about 18 months ago and replaced with a peritoneal Dialysis catheter inserted into the abdomen so I could do dialysis at home. Three months ago, I had complications with my abdomen becoming infected, and I went back on Hemodialysis. Look up my podcast on YouTube. I will be offering financial resources, dialysis-friendly recipes, personal experience advice, and a wealth of knowledge, especially for newly diagnosed patients. I have been on this journey for a long time and hope to get a kidney transplant soon. I am first a foremost a Christian, and my faith in God has gotten me through so many difficult health scares. If you are new to dialysis, know you are not alone. This isn’t the end of the world, but it is a transition. I am here to encourage you and motivate you.
